Over one hundred guests attended “Modern Design on the Coast” which kicked off this year’s Dwell on Design LA, the largest design event in America. Presented by the American Society of Interior Designers, the panel featured design editor and high-end interior design producer Vanessa Kogevinas, who moderated the event; Malibu’s signature architect Doug Burdge, AIA, of Burdge & Associates Architects, Inc.; luxury builder Michael Grosswendt of All Coast Construction; and noted interior designer Peggy Platner of Malibu-based Platner & Co. As experts who understand the essence of coastal living, the panelists discussed the unique elements involved with designing and building homes on the coast, as well as their perspectives on the latest design trends.
